ECAS joined forces with associated partners across Europe to provide residencies for artistic production. The residencies provided practical support to artists who developed experimental new work of a high artistic standard.

One residency was offered each year over a four year period, with the first taking place at Trans-Media Academy Hellerau, Dresden in 2011.
